ABOUT ISLAND BRAÈ
Enchanted by the crickets' chirps, soaked in the sun and the
scent of Mediterranean pines, sage and rosemary, the island
of Braè seems like a big green boat rocking on the waves of
the Adriatic Sea, facing Split, the largest city in Dalmatia.
Located in the close vicinity of two monuments included in
the World Heritage List under the protection of UNESCO, and
connected with the mainland and the rest of the world exceptionally
well (international airport on the island!), the largest island
of Dalmatia is a true oasis of undisturbed nature, authentic
architecture and glorious serenity found only in some past
and long forgotten times.
Forget busyness! Time here is measured by the
movement of shadows and objects in the sky and the strokes
of bells in old campaniles celebrate life in the rhythm of
nature. Restore wisdom to your body and ease it into your
mind! Braè has always been a refuge for all those in search
of beauty and peace, beginning with the residents of ancient
Salona, through to the noblemen of Split, to modern nomads
in search of genuine values.
ABOUT SUMARTIN AND PUTINAK
SUMARTIN, a village and harbor in the cove of the same name
on the south-eastern coast of the island of Brac; population
618. Chief occupations are farming, viniculture, olive growing,
fishing and tourism. Situated on the regional road running
along the island; ferry port and connection with Makarska.
Smaller vessels can berth in the port, and larger vessels
can anchor in the center of the cove.
An oasis of peace until recently, with the
Franciscan monastery and the land surrounding it offering
a view on an ancient sacred area, the Sumartin of today represents,
together with Supetar and Bol, the gate to the island of Brac.
Ferry traffic, tourist yachts and local trawlers as well as
a visit to the nice museum of the monastery give an impression
of a lively tourist resort.
The unpolluted sea (bathing is possible even in the port),
the fresh fish catch of the local trawlers, primarily the
beautiful nature, the possibility to enjoy intact scenery
of the island where wholesome food (cheese, honey, lamb, wine)
is produced, as well as the entertainment offer of nearby
Bol make Sumartin an attractive summer resort.
Our house is located in Putinak, a small
settlement 3 kilometers from Sumartin and 35 kilometers from
Supetar.
ACCOMMODATIONS
We offer our dear guests 6 apartments (all have 3
star rating) for rent. 4 apartments are air conditioned.
All apartments are fully equipped and tastefully decorated.
All accommodation units have separate entrance.

station 700m, ferry 3km, airport 20km, Bol 22 km.
