Hotels in Dubrovnik are mainly located in three areas; Lapad, Gruž and Ploče.
Ploče is the part of Dubrovnik
very close to the Old Town and it is recognized as the most prestigious
residential area of Dubrovnik. Beautiful gardens, charming villas,
wonderful beaches and the best view to the Old Town are the characteristics
that are describing Ploče the best. The most eminent hotels in Dubrovnik
are located at Ploče.
Lapad is the newer part of Dubrovnik,
very beautiful because of the Mediterranean vegetation, sandy as
well as rocky beaches, and the beautiful view to the Elafiti Islands.
Gruž, also a newer part of the town,
is the area where the main harbor and the main city market are located.
Gruž is the entrance to Dubrovnik from the west side.
