Explore Ston, a charming fortified town that was very important in the days of the Dubrovnik Republic. Its wealth and influence was derived from its profitable salts works, which are still active today and produce some of the world’s purest salt. Bring your appetite along as Ston, where the tastes and traditions have changed little over the years, is also famous for delicious sea food, especially oysters. Tour continues with a sightseeing tour of Old Town Dubrovnik.

You will be picked up with an air-conditioned coach/minibus from your arranged point. This tour begins with a short drive to Bridge Dubrovnik where we stop for a nice panorama view over Gruž Bay and the nearby islands.

Continuing onwards to Ston, a charming fortified town that was very important in the days of the Dubrovnik Republic. Its wealth and influence was derived from its profitable salts works, which are still active today and produce some of the world's purest salt. A 12-kilometre long wall – the world's second longest wall after the Wall of China – connects two fortified cities: the first was built in order to protect the salt plants and the second as the salt export harbor. The oldest in Europe, the Ston salt plants are still in use, and the salt producing technology has not changed for centuries.

Our knowledgeable guide will take you for a sightseeing tour of Ston, followed with a visit to the famous saltworks. Our next stop is Mali Ston where we make a break at one of the best restaurants for sea food tasting, consisting of a hearty and flavorful seafood platter that includes oysters, mussels, small fish, tuna salad, Dalmatian ham and fried squids, accompanied with a selection of local wines.

Optional: Boat cruise along the bay of Ston Bay visiting oyster and mussels farms, the sea food platter is in that case served on the boat.
