Over the centuries Mostar and the region were the meeting place of cultures and religions that have left traces clearly visible today. Drive up the Adriatic coast to the small coastal town Neum.
After short break in Neum we will turn towards inland through the pituresque Neretva River Delta up to Počitelj. The fortress-town Počitelj is a well preserved example of oriental architecture perched on a hillside above the river.
Afterwards the tour continues to Mostar. Mostar was named after "the bridge keepers" (Mostari) who guarded the Old Bridge (Stari most) over Neretva river. The Old Bridge is one of the town's most recognizable landmarks and one of the most important structures of the Ottoman era, from 2005 is on the UNESCO's World Heritage List.
Experience sights such as the Old Bazaar with traditional handicrafts and the many old mosques. Enjoy in the authentic food in one of the picturesque local restaurants.
On the way back we will stop near a small town Blagaj where is the strong karstic spring of the Buna river and a historical tekke (tekija or Dervish Monastery),which was built around 1520. The sight is breathtaking with the cold green river rushing out of a cave under a towering cliff. cca.
