 Villa
Doda is an ancient, typical Dubrovnik mansion house,
built in the beginning of the 19. century, and recently
completely renewed. This elegant stone construction
consists of two storeys, and the attic part, of 270
sq meters in full surface. The house is surrounded by
the terrace-shaped meditarrenean garden, with palm trees
and subtropical vegetation, completely enclosed within
an outside stone wall. The location is very favourable,
few minutes of walk to the historical old town, just
above the new-opened Hilton Imperial Hotel; but in the
middle of pedestrian, calm area of old villas and parks,
out of noise and traffic. So, one can enjoy at the same
time the perfect quietness of the villa; and in few
steps, get to the very center of touristic and cultural
events. The closest beaches are in 200m walk-distance,
and all the shops and stores are as close.
The particular interest of Villa Doda is in its possibility
to be in location as the whole house, or to be partly
rented in various forms.
Basically, there are three apartments, each with private
entrance and terrace/garden:
DJIVO (4+2)
The ground floor apartement (named Djivo, for 4 + 2
persons) occupies the 100 sqm, with the master entrance,
marble entering hall, and the stone stairs getting to
the upper floor. It consists of a sitting room, convertible
to a double bedroom; another single/or double bedroom,
with its own bathroom; and a spaceful dining/sitting
room with a sofa,connected to a completely equiped kitchen.
The second bathroom is in that part of the apartement.
The outer parts, facing the lower gardens, form a stone-paved
alley, enlarged in the middle to a pergola-becolumned
terrace. This space, a kind of a summer green-shaded
pavilion, is perfect for having meals, and staying out
all day long...
The first floor is divided into two aparments, each
with its own entrance, and large terrace. There is an
inside corridor communication between them, so it can
be also rented as the whole floor; or in combination
with the ground floor using the central stairs
MARIN(2+2)
The bigger first floor apartement (named Marin, 2 +
2 persons) of 80 sqm, has a master bedroom, living room
with two sofas that can be easily converted into comfortale
beds, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, and a spatious
bathroom.
ANA(2 persons)
The small appartment (named Ana, for 2 persons) of 35
sqm is very suitable for a couple. It is a studio-apartment
with kitchenette, bathroom, and its backyard terrace
with pergola and the old stone well.
As Villa Doda is situated in a pedestrian area, there
is no garage; but on request it is possible to have
a private parking place next to the entrance to the
old town.
